Magic

Bird explained to me yesterday that magic is real. I did not disabuse him of this, as I know it to be true. Indeed, Bird's very existence is proof that magic is real.

Bird's statement was out of the blue. I'm beginning to think, though, that it was also perfectly timed. I've been needing a reminder that magic is real, that magic is around me, even that I might make magic myself now and again.

Magic doesn't have to be amazing or miraculous or obvious. Magic can be simple and subtle. Magic might be laughter conjured from a silly radio commercial, or a moment of conversation when you and another person understand each other just a little more, or enjoying a cool breeze through the car windows when sitting in traffic, or a flower bed of perfect blooms....
